  • Goetic Magic

Everyone should read the Goetic Magic blog.

    http://goeticmagic.blogspot.com/

Brother Boyle from the Conspiracy of Pleasure blog has been posting a few interesting tales, and I’ve received an email from Yuzuru detailing his conjuration experiences with the four archangels of the LBRP. I’m cleaning it up a bit, but it should be posted soon. I’m including it because it’s technically a sub-lunar rite, sort of, depending on how you look at it.

I’ll be updating it more frequently too, lord willing. I invited most of the people I know to co-author the blog, but most folks have worked primarily with celestial spirits. I’m surprised, personally, because I thought I was pretty average, and I’ve been doing this goetic stuff for a couple of years now. Most folks into Magic that I tend to befriend are into the Great Work, and don’t seem as interested in goetic stuff as I am.

However… I expect the posting to pick up as soon as people start reading it. Something about being read makes folks want to participate.

  • Enduring unto the end…

I just left one of my online message groups today. I had joined because someone invited me there, and it was a Rosicrucian forum so it looked interesting. I’ve been reading about alchemy to get ready for this upcoming series of blog posts I’m noodling over, and I thought I might get some insight into some symbols or something.

Man, what a let down. A couple days into it, I had received about twenty or so posts about the nature of Will. Great topic, wonderful exchange of ideas and opinions and theories, and all that. These people were smart, witty, and nice.

But I’m so bored with that kind of talk. I mean, this is stuff that we went over in like metaphysical kindergarten. I’m at a point now where everyone is saying the same things I’ve already seen other people say before. Sometimes they’ve been said better, other times they’ve been said worse. It doesn’t matter much to me, I’m bored either way.

I’m a little concerned. This is the stuff that I thought would be passionately interesting. I’m finding out that no one’s got anything to say that Solomon didn’t already say in Ecclesiastes. I used to think that if more people did magic, I’d have more to talk to about stuff. I’m finding out that isn’t true.

Caring less and less about more and more. That’s what seems to be happening as I continue in my work. I’m thinking I must be going through either a stagnation or putrification phase. If so, the solution to the problem would be steady and progressive addition of Mercury, Air, and whatever other alchemical symbols for that might be.

What gets me about all this is the damn time it takes. 30 weeks for the Stone, if you use lead and don’t mind poisoning yourself and everyone you “project” onto later. Just “Putrification” can take 6-12 weeks. Dissolving faesces, recondensing, blah blah blah.

Oh well. Perdurabo, as they say. There’s nothing more important to do with life, after all. The trick is to keep the heat steady.

  • Bune and the Lotto Tickets

Well, I hate this part. Another MegaMillions Lottery drawing has come and gone and I am still not the winner. [Picture if you will: Fr. R.O., hunched over his keyboard, typing by the light of his monitor, heaving a large and exasperated sigh of disgust.] The jackpot would have been way beyond my desired amount, so maybe it’s my fault for expecting anything to come of the lotto tix. My past experiences with getting precisely what I requested were exactly that: precisely what I requested to the letter, not more or less. So I guess it wasn’t really a good expectation. Would have been nice though.

So I’m sitting back and waiting to see what comes of the ritual. I don’t count it a failure, because I didn’t specifically say the lotto had to be the way it manifested. I just figured that would be the easiest way. Moloch posted an interesting thesis on how bad winning the lotto is on people who win anyway. Personally, I think I could handle it, but it seems that whatever Bune has in mind is going to be different in some way. I can’t think of anything that would bring in $7,142, 857.14 off the top of my head other than a lottery, but that’s just me. Bune isn’t stuck with thinking inside the box that I’m thinking in. Maybe I’ll land a government contract or something.

  • Not to be mixing belief systems

Ok, so I know, a lot of my friends thought I was nuts for playing with Tezcatlipoca. (The skull is in transit to his new owner, may he find all he seeks.) I got a lot of emails and IMs that questioned my sanity. Not directly, but more like… “I dont know what you’re intent is, but good luck…”

I got sucked into Tezcatlipoca’s imagery and mythology while researching the Crystal Skull phenomenon in general. What I found was that the crystal skulls are deeply entrenched in the whole Mexican prehistoric religions, and to make the talisman more potent, Tez seemed an obvious choice.

My thanks to St. Faust for pointing out the Coyote relationship to Tez. My earliest researching hadn’t indicated that particular sode of the god, focusing instead on his roles in the creation myths and his role as the patron deity of Sorcerors. Knowing he was invoked to see visions in the Aztec Mirrors was enough for me to work with him.

    However…

I’m a Christian. There’s a harmonic resonance to my Spheres from all the Work I’ve done with the Logos, Christ, and the archangels. Tezcatlipoca is not now, nor ever has been an angel. “Like” an angel, maybe, in the same way that Hermes or Mercury was “like” an angel, but he’s definitely his own manifestation of God, and is not particularly fond of being worked with from a different system’s rules. Or at least, he didn’t like me and the way I worked with him much. Or maybe I just didn’t like him. Who knows?

I’m writing this up as a successful experiment, but going forward, I’m sticking with the Christian Neo-Platonic systems’ spirits that have worked so well with me in the past.

  • Spirit Pot Ritual

Saturday night, in the astrological hour of Jupiter, I performed a full ritual using my spirit pot. I placed the Spirit Pot on the Triangle of Art I had printed up a few weeks before. I started with the LBRP and the BRH using my Dagger, and followed with an evocation of the energies of Jupiter (through the use of Tzadkiel, Tzedek, and El) using my Wand. The banishings cleansed the various energies, and the evocation of the planetary energies of Jupiter brought back in the Jupiter influence without any interference. Jupiter rules Sagittarius, which is the astrological sign corresponding to Bune according to 777.

After gathering the Jupiterian energies, I performed the first conjuration from the Goetia in full. I hate to say it, but this is the first time I had done so verbatim from the text. When Bune showed up, it was in full power, and was quite impressive. After some introductory chit-chat, I set about the purpose of the summoning: to add more stuff to the pot, and to give the spirit full and specific directions “by the book.”

So, I removed the contents of my Spirit pot, and added a small Orgone generator I had made (using Tibetan double-terminated quartz crystals). Then I added some dirt from my bank’s closest branch to give it a stronger connection to the place I want the “riches given unto a man” (read: ME!) to be deposited. The bank also had some small crushed white rock over their flower bed where I gathered the dirt, and a few of these rocks made it into the mix. I was in a bit of a hurry, as the bank was closing, and the tellers were watching me through the windows. I can only imagine what they thought. I placed these rocks around the orgone generator. So I have a small cone-shaped generator, some earth, and some white rocks surrounding it, resting in the center of a long length of woven rush grass. Looks real pretty.

I checked the status of the dates I had put in the pot originally, and they were still in good condition, and the raisins looked ok too. No “Ick” factor yet, so I put most of them back in. I also put back the Magickal weapon, and added fresh incense containing the Lignum Aloes. I also dedicated a small unused-incense burner I had found at the local Goodwill earlier that day to Bune. Any incense offerings in the future will be given through this.

About a week before, I had lit a purple seven-day candle with the seal of Bune affixed to it, along with my desired outcome written clearly on it: “Give riches unto [me] in the amount of $7,142,857.14.” This candle was about burned out, and I did the ritual by its light as well as three purple tea candles. I gave Bune specific instructions on what I wanted to have manifest, and then replaced the lid of the pot after removing the Seal of Solomon from inside the lid. I’ve sent him out to make my desires come true, so I don’t want him stuck in the pot. I placed the pot on a little stand I have, and set the remaining tea light candles in a triangle around the pot, and went to bed.

Tea light candles burn for five hours.

Around ten o’clock this morning, about 8 hours after finishing the ritual, I checked on my spirit pot, and found that one of the candles was still burning, and had quite bit of wax left to go. All the candles were from the same box. They were the same size, and I expect they were from the same batch of wax at the tea-candle factory. I lit them all at the same time. Nevertheless, here was a five-hour candle still burning eight hours later.

I’m taking that as a very positive sign.

The seven-day candle had burned completely out sometime in the night while I slept. I placed the seal that I had affixed to the candle while it burned back in the pot and closed the lid. I noticed that without the Seal of Solomon in the lid of the pot, Bune’s presence is much stronger. There’s a rich, brown feel to the air surrounding the pot now that wasn’t there when I had the Seal in the lid. Like a dense storm cloud, reminding me of the red spot on Jupiter, the storm that has blown for millions of years.

I don’t know how Bune will be manifesting my desired outcome. I specifically mentioned “lump sum” and “no harm to others” in the instructions. I think a lotto award would work nicely, so this afternoon I went ahead and bought four quick picks for the next mega millions lotto drawing next Tuesday. (70% of MegaMillions jackpot winners are from quick picks, by the way.) I placed the lotto tickets around the pot and explained the rules of the game, told him where the lotto drawing would take place (Atlanta, Georgia) and when. That way he’s got a golden opportunity to send his thirty legions of spirits to Atlanta to make sure the numbers from one of those tickets get drawn.

It makes perfect sense to me. Now I just have to wait and see if that’s the way this will all turn out.

  • And it’s gone.

That went fast. The skull is on its way to its new owner, and is no longer available.

May the new owner enjoy their experiences.

  • And it’s gone.

  • Done with the skull, now get it out of here…

    Well, me hearties….

I’m done with the crystal skull of the DEAD!!! bwahahahaha…

I’m satisfied with the results, and I’m confident that the skull image and the spirit conjuration during the rite has successfully created a pretty powerful talisman that will cause strange dreams and visions for the owner.

And now I’m ready for it to be out of the house.

A friend from one of the lists sent me a pdf that talked about the “Black Dog” apparitions and mentioned Tezcatlipoca. If you get into the earliest recorded descriptions of the beliefs of the Aztecs in Mexico (as recorded by priests looking to have a record of native beliefs in case they made a resurgence that needed stamping out), you can see that Tezcatlipoca was among other things a manifestation of the “trickster” deities. He’s a lot like Coyote or Loki. Buy the stone and I’ll forward you the pdf.

Anyway, anyone interested in buying the crystal skull should be into two things: necromancy in some form, and trickster deities in general.

By necromancy, I mean anything having to do with communicating with dead spirits. It would make an excellent addition to a medium’s collection. If you’re a working Sorceror, like Moloch, this is the kind of thing I’d expect to find in your collection somewhere. Not only does it work to commune with specific dead people (I met with Agrippa), it also aids in seeing the shades of the dead that populate our life invisibly. It can get a little… creepy.

If you’re one of the growing community of spiritual healers, like Nita Hickok at Astral Healer, this kind of tool would be very useful in dealing with spirits troubling your clients. It would aid in Exorcisms (via the Bune-spirit) or in dealing with Curses, Hexes, or other Crossed Conditions (via Tezcatlipoca).

By being into the trickster deities, I mean that you should have an affinity for working with that particular kind of entity. Tezcatlipoca brings warnings, sends visions, and aids sorcerors in eliminating other sorcerors’ curses.

He also is a bit of a prankster. Things have gone missing since I activated this particular spirit’s influence in the skull, electronics have gone somewhat haywire, and I’ve had a lot of peculiar dreams. I’ve “lost” my favorite pocket knife, and I’m hoping getting rid of this thing will result in its return.

Also… Well, I’d be remiss in not mentioning it, but Tezcatlipoca doesn’t mesh well with a neo-platonic Christian environment. I wouldn’t call the skull “cursed” because nothing terrible has happened, but it is definitely not a particularly friendly entity towards the whole Judeo-Christian belief system.

    So I’m selling it.

It’s $45, and is currently available on my Products and Services Page. That includes shipping to the US.

    First come first served.
